Local Credit Union to host blood drive in Pensacola and Panama City, Florida

On Friday, March 12th, 2021, Central Credit Union of Florida will host their quarterly blood drive with OneBlood at both their home office, located at 1200 E. Nine Mile Road in Pensacola, Florida and their Panama City branch office, located at 2615 Hwy 77. The “Big Red Bus” will be at both locations from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM local Central Time.

“Our mission to be “people helping people” goes hand in hand with that of OneBlood. The number one reason donors give blood is because they want to help others, and so we host these blood drives to provide easy access to give blood,” states Central Credit Union of Florida. Each whole blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives.

This event is open to the public and participants can either make an appointment online at www.oneblood.org/donate-now/, using sponsor code #39633 or be a walk-in donor at the time of the event. Participants must be at least 16 years of age and must provide a photo ID to donate. Safety protocols are in place as a precaution against COVID-19, but anyone with a fever or anyone who has been exposed to the virus in the previous 14 days, is pending test results or has a confirmed active case should not present to donate. All donors will be offered a wellness checkup including a COVID-19 antibody test, a blood pressure check, a temperature check, iron count, a pulse check and cholesterol screening as well as receiving a free St. Patrick’s Day T-shirt and a $10 eGift Card.
