the York Chapter of Credit Unions came together to deliver donations to Mr. Sandy’s Homeless Veteran’s Center. Every year, the York Chapter of Credit Unions coordinates a community give back project which allows our teams to work together to support our community. After Sandie Walker shared the story of her father’s dream for Mr. Sandy’s Homeless Veteran’s Center at one of our meetings, the Chapter wanted to do its part to help. So, in the month of September, First Capital Federal Credit Union, White Rose Credit Union, Glatco Credit Union, and York Educational Federal Credit Union collected items for the Center at their branches.
“This also coordinated with CU Kind Day which was on October 9th,” said Tara Houser, Vice President of Marketing & Business Development. “CU Kind Day is a day for credit union employees, members, volunteers, and partners, to come together and spread kindness. We may be competitors, but we are all here to support our community and live out the Credit Union mission of ‘people helping people.’”
