Lori Gall steps down as Co-Chair of Global Women’s Leadership Network PA Sister Society

Global Women’s Leadership Network PA Sister Society co-chair, Lori Gall, will be stepping down as an officer of the organization at the end of 2022.

“After seven years as co-chair of this wonderful organization that brings together women in the credit union movement, I’m ready to pass on the honor to another passionate female professional who will continue to strengthen our bonds,” said Gall. “I’ve had the pleasure of sharing knowledge, empowerment opportunities and connections with credit union women across Pennsylvania, something that is very special to me.”

Earlier this year, Lori stated that while she would be stepping down from her role as co-chair, she would remain an avid supporter of the group. “Although my role as co-chair is coming to an end, I’m eager to see how the society grows as a resource for women in credit unions,” said Gall.

Gall, chief risk officer of Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union, helped found the PA Sister Society in 2015 alongside former co-chair, Amey Sgrignoli of Belco Community Credit Union. Gall was later joined by Linda Brown of Service 1st Federal Credit Union, after Sgrignoli resigned from her role in 2019.

“Lori has certainly left her mark on the PA Sister Society,” said Brown. “We will miss having her as co-chair, but we wish her luck with all her future ventures, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming Trish as part of the team.”

Trish Shermot, director of government affairs/regional urban development officer for Visions Federal Credit Union, will take Lori’s place as co-chair of the PA Sister Society.

“I’m excited to join this wonderful group of women and help lead the PA Sister Society as co-chair,” said Shermot. “Lori is leaving some big shoes for me to fill, but I’m ready to dive right in and keep moving this organization forward for the advancement of credit union women.”

Lori left Trish with these words of wisdom, “My journey with the PA Sister Society has been such an incredible experience, giving me the opportunity to build so many new relationships and perspectives. I hope you feel the same sense of fulfillment and joy from this role as I did – good luck!” said Gall.
