LPS Names Joe Jacquot, Former Deputy Attorney General of Florida, as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –  June 13, 2011 – Lender Processing Services, Inc. (NYSE: LPS), a leading provider of integrated technology, data and analytics to the mortgage and real estate industries, announced today that Joe Jacquot, who served from 2007-2011 as Deputy Attorney General of Florida and Chief of Staff for Attorney General Bill McCollum, will be LPS’ senior vice president of Government Affairs.

In his new role with LPS, Jacquot will provide leadership and strategic oversight of LPS’ legislative, political, advocacy and other public affairs activities.  Jacquot will be responsible for analyzing and responding to pending legislation and regulation affecting LPS; identifying legal, policy and operational issues for LPS; and building effective relationships with internal and external partners, including government officials and industry professional associations.

“Joe’s extensive legal and legislative experience will help LPS maintain effective governmental relationships so that we can continue to remain compliant with all requirements and regulations, as well as help government representatives better understand the industries LPS serves and our role in supporting those industries through leading technology solutions,” said Todd Johnson, LPS executive vice president and general counsel.

Prior to his work as deputy attorney general for Florida, Jacquot served as the deputy chief counsel for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, where he helped manage priorities of the committee and built consensus within Congress to move legislation, working closely with the executive branch and industry groups.  He also managed the Supreme Court confirmations of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito.  Prior to that position, Jacquot held several congressional positions including chief counsel of the U.S. Senate Immigration and Border Security Subcommittee. 

Jacquot, who graduated from The University of Florida College of Law with honors, served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve and is an adjunct professor at Florida State University College of Law, where he teaches a course on federal legislative practice.
