Sharing the season’s joy with the community, Westerra Credit Union (Westerra) will relaunch its second annual “Deck the Hallways” initiative – a program that provides scholastic support to Colorado school districts. From December 1 to 19, the credit union will donate $100 to Title 1 schools in the Denver Metro Area* each time a Smart Money Checking or Money Market Select account is opened by new members. The credit union will also gift each new member with a $100 deposit** as a thank you for helping local schools.
After last year’s success, Westerra intends to once again distribute $10,000 to Title 1 schools. The effort continues the credit union’s legacy – that dates back to Westerra’s founding by schoolteachers in 1934 – by keeping support for teachers and local schools at the heart of its mission.
