In an effort to provide disaster relief for those affected by the January 19th tornado, MAX associates held a supply drive for the Elmore County Food Bank and made a donation of $5,000 to the Central Alabama Community Foundation.
The Elmore County Food Pantry is supporting families who were displaced by the tornado and supporting volunteers in the clean-up efforts. MAX held a supply drive at four branch locations to collect items needed for the Elmore County Food Pantry from February 13th-22nd. With the support of the community, over 650 items were collected during the supply drive. Items collected were delivered to the food bank by MAX associates on February 28th.
With 17 locations throughout the River Region, including a branch in Wetumpka, the full-service financial institution decided to give back to the community in a time of need. A $5,000 donation was made to the Central Alabama Community Foundation to help in recovery efforts. The Central Alabama Community Foundation established the Wetumpka Tornado Relief Fund, which will be used to support immediate and long term needs of those impacted by the January 19th tornado.
“At MAX, giving back to the communities we serve comes in various forms. We are committed to making our communities better and to provide support when it is needed most” said Community Relations and Foundation Coordinator, Brooke Foster.
MAX strives to not only provide quality financial service but to also give back to the community through numerous outreach initiatives.
