Mazuma Credit Union’s 6th annual Give Back Day is bigger than ever!

OVERLAND PARK, KA (October 5, 2023)WHAT: As it celebrates 75 years of serving Kansas City in 2023, Mazuma Credit Union is proud to be holding its 6th annual Give Back Day, a day of service to our community. This year’s event will be the largest in Mazuma’s history, with over 170 Team Members volunteering with several local organizations that provide a substantial good for our community.

WHY: Mazuma’s purpose is “Making Kansas City a Better Place to Live, Work, and Bank,” and Give Back Day is one of many opportunities each year for Team Members to put this ethos into practice by volunteering with local organizations in support of the charitable work they do in the communities we serve. Give Back Day is one facet of the Credit Union’s 40 Hours for Good program, which provides Team Members with 40 hours of paid volunteer time each year to encourage community engagement.

WHERE: Mazuma Team Members will be at locations across the metropolitan area (look for the gray shirts!), including:

  • KC Community Gardens – 6917 Kensington Ave. Kansas City, MO 64132

*Our President and CEO, Deonne Christensen, will be volunteering at the Hillcrest Thrift location in Lenexa and will be available to provide a brief statement.
