MDDCCUA Congratulates Carla Decker on Nomination to NCUA Board

Washington, DC – The Maryland and DC Credit Union Association (MDDCCUA) is pleased that Carla Decker, President of the DC Federal Credit Union, an affiliate of the Association, has been nominated by the President of the United States to serve on the three-member National Credit Union Administration Board. 

“Ms. Decker is an experienced credit union leader who has contributed greatly over the years to the Association and its Committees,” said John Bratsakis, President/CEO of MDDCCUA. 

Ms. Decker served on the board of the DC League and currently serves on the International Committee, hosting many international visitors from partnering countries. A true cooperator, she has provided technical advice to other credit unions.  She also serves on the Credit Union Foundation of Maryland and DC’s board.

“We appreciate her extensive knowledge and dedicated service to the credit union movement,” Bratsakis said.

This NCUA Board seat is currently held by Gigi Hyland, whose official term expired this past August. The nomination will require Senate confirmation and has been referred to the Senate Banking Committee.
