Baltimore, MD March 26, 2013- After the success of its 1st workshop series, MECU is sponsoring its free weekly Growing into Wealth Young Adult Financial Workshop Series again this April. This workshop series teaches young adults how to pay off their student loans, reduce their debt and improve their credit, prepare for homeownership, purchase a car, start investing, and start a business. Workshops will be held at Village Learning Place 2521 St. Paul St. in Charles Village from April 16-May 21.
More than one hundred young adults attended MECU’s 1st workshop series back in October 2012. “We received so many positive comments about our first workshop series that we had to do it again,” stated Lauren Gill, Marketing Specialist. “Many young adults are still recovering from the Great Recession and they want financial education to help them get back on their feet. Our workshop series teaches them how to effectively manage their money.”
Workshops will be taught by various local financial experts. People interested in attending can register for the workshops at www.mecu.com/growing-into-wealth . The workshops are free, but because of limited space, registration is necessary.
