Meet the beet boys of eDOC Innovations

MIDDLEBURY, VT (March 7, 2017) — As part of their monthly teambuilding activities, eDOC Innovations’ staff members volunteered their efforts in February by peeling and chopping nearly 50 pounds of beets in support of their local food shelf, HOPE (Helping Overcome Poverty’s Effects).

“As a cooperative business, we recognize the importance of the cooperative principles and concern for our community. When we plan for our monthly teambuilding activity, we try to incorporate something that gives back,” stated Tristan Kiel, Activities Committee Chairman for eDOC Innovations. “During the holiday season, we organized a very successful food drive for HOPE and wanted to continue our relationship with the foundation. Who knew processing mountains of beets could bring about so many songs, phrases and laughs. Our crew had such a great time.”

The HOPE Food Shelf serves more than 600 people a month with non-perishables and other groceries donated by local stores and farmers, and has been serving the Addison County, Vermont community since 1965 with a wide range of programs and services.
