ALBANY, NY (April 25, 2014) -- Both the Credit Union Association of New York and Association President/CEO William J. Mellin received awards at the Albany Times Union’s “Top Work Places” reception Thursday. The awards, which were presented by Times Union editors and executives, recognize the best employers and business leaders in the Capital Region, and are based solely on employee feedback.
Mellin was one of three leaders honored during the event. He was presented with the Leadership Award in the Medium-Sized Companies category for receiving the highest score on a survey that focused on employee confidence in the organization’s leadership.
“This recognition underscores the Association’s commitment to empowering our employees on both a personal and professional level,” said Mellin. “The personal award is certainly gratifying, but knowing that we have a team of professionals who love their jobs and take pride in serving the credit union movement is even more validating.”
The Credit Union Association of New York has served as the trade association for the state’s credit unions for 96 years. New York credit unions have assets of more than $65 billion and serve 4.9 million members. To learn more about CUANY, visit www.cuany.org.
