WARMINSTER, PA – (July 15, 2011) – Helen Coleman, a Freedom Member since 1995, has a unique way of showing her love for the Credit Union: a bedspread made entirely from Freedom Credit Union “Big 5” rally towels! Crafted by Coleman’s mother, the bedspread is made from more than 40 towels and measures over 8 feet long. Coleman, a high school teacher in Philadelphia, brought this unique handiwork to Freedom’s Operations Center to share it with Freedom employees and executive staff.

The rally towels were originally distributed at Philadelphia Big 5 basketball games during the 2005-06 season, when Freedom was the title sponsor of the “Big 5 50th Anniversary Celebration.” Coleman, an avid fan of this association of college basketball teams, collected the towels when fans left them behind at games.
