Member Driven Technologies opens new data center to strengthen disaster recovery and business continuity
CUSO’s facility offers advanced data security, disaster resiliency for credit union clients
FARMINGTON HILLS, MI (November 29, 2017) — Member Driven Technologies (MDT), a leading provider of seamless, top-to-bottom IT solutions for credit unions, has opened a new data center in Montana. The facility will host primary processing for the CUSO’s Western credit unions while also strengthening processing redundancies and business continuity for its Eastern credit unions.
An increasing number of financial institutions are choosing to outsource their critical systems due to factors such as new regulatory pressures, sophistication of technology and the hefty resources required to monitor systems in-house. MDT’s newest data center offers a cost-effective opportunity for credit unions to forgo their cumbersome hardware for a simpler, more efficient hosted option.
Sacramento, Calif.-based First U.S. Community Credit Union was the first financial institution to go live with MDT’s Montana-based data center. Jance Dalton, First U.S. Community Credit Union’s chief information officer, explained, “The migration to MDT’s new Montana data center was easy and completed without incident. From day one, the performance has lived up to our high standards for data security, proactive monitoring and superior customer service.”
In addition to First U.S. Community Credit Union, Greeley, Colo.-based Weld Schools Credit Union and Billings Mont.-based Billings Federal Credit Union have gone live with MDT’s new data center as well.
The facility also provides credit unions with bolstered disaster recovery and business continuity offerings. Larry Nichols, chief executive officer of MDT, commented, “As the industry continues to encounter unpredictable factors, such as erratic weather patterns and emerging cyberattacks, it’s critical that credit unions take every possible measure to protect themselves and their members. At MDT, it’s our goal to empower our clients with the confidence that their sensitive information and critical systems are being safeguarded. The addition of our Montana data center furthers that objective, adding an extra layer of defense and resiliency to ensure we’re providing our clients with best-in-class service.”
