ROANOKE, VA (January 19, 2016) — This past December 2015, Member One Federal Credit Union featured a local newspaper advertisement in the Roanoke Times asking readers to color in the provided holiday artwork with a message to a loved one. Readers were asked to take a picture of the final product and post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #MOHappyHolidays.
The participant was also asked to tag their favorite local non-profit organization or charity in the post.
At the completion of the contest on Dec. 18, Lexi Stull was notified of her winning coloring advertisement and also was awarded a $100 VISA gift card.
In January 2016, Member One presented Lexi with the VISA gift card and Lexi’s preferred charity, Roanoke Valley SPCA, with $1,000.

Roanoke Valley SPCA executive director Denise Hayes said, “I am humbled by Lexi’s generosity at selecting the Roanoke Valley SPCA to be the recipient of the donation from Member One FCU. The $1,000 will help cover the medical expenses of so many pets in our care, including a litter of seven kittens who arrived with major medical issues.”
