Member One’s Ryan Bell recognized as Lynchburg Millennial on the Move

ROANOKE, VA (August 5, 2019) — Member One Federal Credit Union Market Manager, Ryan Bell, has been named a 2019 “Millennial on the Move” in Lynchburg Business magazine.

The Millennials on the Move campaign is a joint effort by the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance, Young Professionals of Central Virginia, and the Lynchburg Office of Economic Development. The award recognizes Lynchburg-area young professionals who are making a difference in both their workplace and their community.

“I am honored to be named as a representative of the incredible young talent that we have here in Lynchburg,” said Bell. “I love my hometown and having opportunities to make a difference here, both within my professional role and beyond it.”

As Market Manager of Member One’s Timberlake retail center, Bell has played an integral role in the Credit Union’s continued growth and success in the Lynchburg market. Bell has been with Member One since 2008 and holds a Master’s Degree in Sport Management and Administration from Liberty University.

Outside of work, Bell dedicates time to community causes including the Central and Western Virginia Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association, HumanKind, and the Free Clinic of Central Virginia. Recently, he rappelled down a 20-story building to raise funds for HumanKind, donned a pink wig in support of Big Wigs for Susan G. Komen, and served as Committee Chair for the Lynchburg Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

“Ryan is a fantastic asset to our Lynchburg team. He works hard daily for our Credit Union members and employees, making a positive impact on the community we serve,” said Member One Senior Vice President and Lynchburg Market Executive, Stedman Payne. “He genuinely lives our motto, ‘people helping people,’ and we are thrilled to see him getting this recognition.”

Bell is one of 25 honorees chosen this year by a panel of judges. He will be featured in the August/September issue of Lynchburg Business.
