INDIANAPOLIS, IN (November 12, 2014) -- Lori Gonzalez, President/CEO of Members Choice Federal Credit Union in Bloomington, was inducted into the Indiana Credit Union Hall of Fame during the Indiana Credit Union League’s statewide Convention. She was honored at the Chairman’s Awards Banquet at the JW Marriott Hotel on October 17.
Gonzalez is President/CEO of Members Choice FCU, and she began her credit union career more than 28 years ago at that credit union, which was then known as Nippers Federal Credit Union. She has served not only the members of the credit union, but the entire Indiana credit union movement over that time.
Gonzalez has had a leadership role in many organizations that benefit credit unions in Indiana. She served on the League board from 2006 until February 2014, and she was League Chairman from 2011-2012. Her current leadership roles include the board of directors of both the Indiana Credit Union Foundation and CUCare Welfare Benefit Plan Trust. She is also chairman of the Hoosier CUES board and Chairman of the League’s Stabilization Trustees. In addition to her roles on the League’s Convention Committee, League & Servicecorp Products & Services Committee and the Political Involvement Leadership Advisory Group, Gonzalez is active in the Reichle-Shroyer Chapter of Credit Unions where she serves as president.
