Members Cooperative Credit Union (Members) has welcomed Marty Kelly as Chief Strategy and Growth Officer. A nationally recognized credit union leader with more than 30 years of experience, Kelly will guide the organization’s strategic planning process and lead its growth, marketing, and brand strategies.
“Marty’s leadership is defined by his strategic vision, marketing expertise, and genuine commitment to people and the credit union philosophy,” said Steve Ewers, Members’ President and CEO. “His passion for our members and teams will help us deliver on our mission and make an even bigger impact in our communities.”
Kelly joins Members after more than 20 years at TruStone Financial Credit Union (previously Firefly Credit Union), where he most recently served as EVP/Chief Marketing Officer. During his tenure with TruStone/Firefly, he was responsible for brand strategy and all facets of marketing. He was a key contributor to the organization’s strategic planning development and implementation.
Kelly has long championed industry initiatives, serving in various leadership roles on Minnesota Credit Union Network’s Awareness Advisory Committee and Credit Unions for Kids Committee. He has spoken on a variety of marketing issues at national conferences, authored numerous articles for industry publications and has published resources promoting youth financial education. He has a BA in Finance from Loras College, and an MBA from the University of Iowa.
