Members First Credit Union (M1) recently celebrated its annual Week of Joy, spreading kindness and brightening the days of residents, businesses, and nonprofits across Michigan communities. Kicking off on December 3rd, M1 team members surprised community members with friendly smiles, conversations, and $50 VISA gift cards, delivering $12,000 in acts of generosity throughout the week. The initiative is designed to give back to the communities M1 serves and create meaningful connections that highlight the power of small, thoughtful gestures.
During the Week of Joy, M1 team members visited a variety of community locations, including bus stops, grocery stores, animal shelters, hospitals, nonprofits, first responders, and service workers who keep local communities thriving. Each stop brought new stories and memorable connections.
“I look forward to this every year,” shared M1 team member Melissa Pashak. “It’s a great reminder of how powerful joy really is and how even small surprises can make a big difference.”
