Members Rewarded With Interactive SaveUp Program

Woodbridge, VA, June 8, 2012 – Belvoir Federal Credit Union, who joined the National SaveUp Program hosted by Filene Research Institute in March 2012, announces two winners from the program who were able to save money, pay down debt, and earn credits towards great prize drawings.

Kelli Jo Anthon, the Financial Coach and program’s facilitator at Belvoir Federal, stated “SaveUp is a great online tool that encourages our members to save money and reduce debt. The chance to win amazing prizes each day by accepting financial education and savings challenges is a great motivator for positive financial behavior.”

The two prizes won by Belvoir Federal members were a $250 Best Buy gift card and a Dyson Vacuum Cleaner. Bonnie K., a SaveUp winner, stated “The minute I heard about SaveUp, I joined. It’s extremely educational, doesn’t take a lot of time, and I look forward to it each morning.” Matthew H., another SaveUp winner, stated “SaveUp is a great site that motivates me to pay down my debt and save money! I earn credit to enter into prize drawings. And, I won… Who knew?”

Belvoir Federal currently has 225 members using SaveUp. The members using the program have played 10,908 tickets to date which provided an opportunity to earn more points for a chance at winning prizes.
