Quick Balance and Fingerprint ID
SAN JOSE, CA (April 29, 2015) -- Meriwest Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Quick Balance and Fingerprint ID to their Mobile Banking Platform. With Quick Balance, members are now able to quickly view selected account balances without logging in to Meriwest’s Mobile Banking app. In addition, Fingerprint ID Sign On is now available for Apple devices*. Fingerprint ID allows a registered mobile user to access the Meriwest Mobile App utilizing the stored fingerprint on the device to authenticate the user rather than requiring entry of their log in credentials.
“Meriwest continues to make efforts to become more secure while creating a seamless, fast and interactive benefit for our members who use mobile banking. By incorporating Fingerprint Authentication and our Quick Balance feature into our mobile app service, Meriwest continues strengthening encryption and authentication, as our ongoing goal is to support better security practices and prevent hackers from accessing our member’s secure banking details.” said Tony Cortez, Meriwest Credit Union SVP and Chief Experience Officer. “Ultimately we want to ensure the app can act as a true extension of our customer service team by providing data and services that are both secure and relevant for our members.”
