Meriwest Mobile Expands and Improves
SAN JOSE, CA – October 11, 2011– Meriwest Credit Union announced today that they have introduced a new mobile banking application for the Android Phone platform and have made a significant update to their iPhone app. The new Android application allows members to access their accounts, to see balances and their transaction histories, transfer funds between accounts and manage their spending plan with tools that allow them to graph their expenses and have a visual indication of their spending habits. Members can also add additional users to the application and locate Meriwest Credit Union financial centers and CU Shared branches and ATM’s.
Meriwest’s Apple iPhone Mobile Banking Application, of which over 5,000 Meriwest members have downloaded, has been upgraded to provide members with an enhanced mobile banking experience. Taking a number of member comments to heart, the new iPhone application has an improved interface and allows for consolidated account viewing. The upgraded program also allows up to six months of account transaction history viewing as well as the ability to add additional users on the same device.

Adoption of the new Android application has been impressive. In the three days since the introduction of the Meriwest Credit Union Android Mobile Banking application, over 500 members have acted upon the offering and downloaded it to their mobile device.
