Merrimack Valley Credit Union donates $30,000 to Haverhill’s Emmaus, Inc.
LAWRENCE, MASS (November 2, 2023) — Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU) has donated $30,000 to Emmaus, Inc. in Haverhill, Mass. MVCU began supporting Emmaus in 1994 and is currently the nonprofit’s longest running and largest corporate partner. MVCU has donated more than $500,000 to Emmaus over nearly three decades.
Emmaus, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter and affordable housing to families and individuals facing homelessness. The non-profit also offers supportive services including homelessness prevention, rehousing and stabilization, career services, parental support, and a coordinated entry process to “ensure that families and individuals experiencing homelessness receive appropriate assistance for their immediate and long-term housing and service needs” (according to the Emmaus, Inc. website).
“Our organization has been a proud supporter of Emmaus, Inc. since the 1990s, and we are so grateful for all that they do to elevate our community,” said MVCU President & CEO John J.
