MetroWest announces new President/CEO & new Vice President/CFO

FRAMINGHAM, MA (August 25, 2015) — MetroWest Community Federal Credit Union has announced two new leadership positions at the Credit Union. Joseph Mansour has been promoted to president/chief executive officer and John H. Craig has been named vice president/chief financial officer. Mansour will take over for retiring MetroWest President/Chief Executive Officer John Gallinagh who has led the Credit Union since July of 2009. Gallinagh will be available as a consultant to MetroWest during the transition process and after retirement will continue to provide consulting services to small and medium sized credit unions.

Gallinagh said, “I am proud of the growth we have experienced during my time at MetroWest and pleased to be leaving MetroWest Community Federal Credit Union in the very capable hands of Joe and John. Their impressive experience will serve our members well in their new positions at the Credit Union. We look forward to continued growth and success under their leadership.”

Joseph Mansour, president/chief executive officer has served as the chief financial officer at MetroWest Community Federal Credit Union for 6 years. His 27-year career in the financial industry includes positions as chief executive officer, chief financial officer, financial analyst and auditor. A certified public accountant, he earned a master’s degree in business administration at UMass Lowell, and his bachelor’s degree in finance from Northeastern University. Mansour served in the U.S. Army and retired as a Captain in 1994. He lives with his wife and 2 children in Methuen.

John H. Craig, vice president/chief financial officer brings nearly 35 years of financial experience to MetroWest. Most recently he served as director of municipal partnerships at WasteZero, Inc. in North Andover. From 1982-2005, Craig served as treasurer for Natick Metro West Federal Credit Union which merged with the then Framingham Municipal Federal Credit Union in 2005. Framingham Municipal Federal Credit Union changed its charter to that of a community charter and underwent a name change to MetroWest Community Federal Credit Union in 2009. Craig earned a master’s degree in education administration at Framingham State University, and his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley University. Craig, a long-time Natick resident, currently resides in Ashland.
