Michael F. Stevens named United Federal Credit Union Audit Manager

ST. JOSEPH, MI (October 8, 2013) -- Michael F. Stevens has been appointed to the position of Audit Manager at United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) in St. Joseph, Mich. In his new role, Stevens will provide auditing and risk assessment leadership to the UFCU Internal Audit Team.

Stevens was previously Senior Internal Auditor at UFCU, with responsibility for ensuring compliance with all banking laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures, and the maintenance of adequate credit, market, and operational risk. His prior roles include 25 years of finance and information technology experience with financial institutions for the State of Michigan.

Stevens holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.

A native of Rochester, Mich., Stevens passed the Certified Information System Auditor examination in December 2012, achieving the highest worldwide score among those taking the exam. He and his family reside in Niles, Mich.
