Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) to collect items for 7th annual Movers for Moms donation drive

EAST LANSING, MI (April 25, 2014) -- MSUFCU is pleased to announce its partnership with Two Men And A Truck of Lansing for the Movers for Moms campaign from April 14 to May 2, 2014.

Movers for Moms is a donation drive devoted to recognizing moms living in women and family shelters by providing them with personal care and comfort items. To support this cause, community members can make donations at any MSUFCU Greater Lansing area branch. Items such as soaps, hair care products, pillows, blankets, slippers, baby food, diapers, and other essential items will be accepted. Two Men And A Truck will pick up and deliver the collected items to partnering women’s shelters on or before Mother’s Day.

“We are pleased to work with Two Men And A Truck on this initiative, as we share a similar mission of providing superior service to our members while serving the community. With Movers for Moms we have the ability to improve the lives of others,” said Patrick McPharlin, MSUFCU’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward to working with them to ensure that local mothers will feel special this Mother’s Day.”

Two Men And A Truck has women in key leadership roles across the company, and some of their most successful franchisees are women, so the idea for Movers for Moms came naturally. Last spring, Movers for Moms collected more than 210,000 items for women living in shelters across the nation on Mother’s Day. Join us in helping Two Men And A Truck locations reach their goal of collecting 300,000 items.
