Mid-Atlantic Corporate’s FInection marks first anniversary with over 200 videos and thousands of plays each month

MIDDLETOWN, PA (April 8, 2014) – FInection, a set of video channels created by Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union, is celebrating its first year of service to the credit union movement. From credit unions to trade groups, to the media and industry service providers, FInection has informed, educated and entertained thousands of visitors since its launch in February 2013. To date, the Corporate has created over 200 videos, releasing several each week.

“FInection connects credit unions and others in our movement with useful information in a convenient and creative way,” said Jay Murray, president/CEO of Mid-Atlantic Corporate. “With a click of a button, visitors can listen to the latest economic update, pick up quick tips on marketing, managing computer files – just about anything to make life easier. You can also find out what’s new in the community and around the Corporate.”

FInection’s “Around the Corporate” segments present news on what’s happening at the Corporate, such as product or service promotions or upcoming educational sessions, according to Jaime Agostino, marketing manager. “The entertaining format and amusing style of Rodney May, our senior vice president of member services, and emcee for this segment, have made it the most popular,” she said.

Agostino notes that another often-viewed feature is “Stump the Corporate.” In it, member credit unions submit a trivia question to be asked of five Corporate staff members. If none of them can answer the question correctly, the submitting credit union wins a prize, such as free registration to one of Mid-Atlantic Corporate’s conferences.

The “Tip of the Week” videos feature Corporate staff sharing advice on a wide variety of subjects pertaining to both business and personal life. Topics presented in the past year include inbox organization, driving in hazardous conditions, keeping computers running smoothly, and what to do with your Thanksgiving leftovers.

“The number of FInection viewers is growing all the time,” said Agostino. “We’re having a lot of fun creating the videos and they are serving as an effective way to communicate with our members and others in the industry.”
