Mills42 Federal Credit Union pitches in to share food and change lives

LOWELL, MA (October 21, 2021) — Fall is the perfect time of the year to give thanks and to give back. And that is why members of the Mills42 FCU Team devoted hours of their time to The Merrimack Valley Food Bank on September 29th.

The MVFB has been feeding residents of our community who are in need since 1991, and their mission of “sharing food and changing lives” is one that the Mills42 FCU Team embraces wholeheartedly.

Mills42 CEO, Derek Cronin, has this to say about the team’s efforts. “On this particular day, our assignment was to fill bags with food that were then distributed to students throughout the Lowell school system. What a wonderful thing it is to be able to participate in improving the welfare of these kids—who are the future of our community. And the fact that their families benefitted, as well, is the proverbial icing on the cake.”

As always, Cronin emphatically makes this point about Mills42: “We’re a community credit union,” And we love our community. Making a difference by volunteering with local non-profits is one of the many ways we get to show that love month in and month out.”
