Financial literacy program provides students learning experience
GERMAN TOWN, MD (November 10, 2016) — Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union (MC EFCU), a Montgomery County, Md.-based full-service financial institution, sponsors the launch of Northwood High School Millionaire’s Club Financial Literacy Program on Thursday, November 10 at 10:15 a.m. at 919 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, Md.
The focus of the Millionaire’s Club is delivering a meaningful learning experience to students that will provide lifelong personal finance skills. Clubs are provided seed grant funding, detailed curriculum, and Faculty Advisory and Club member materials free of charge. Club members elect their own leadership, actively engage in the program and conduct an entrepreneurial project at the end of the year to allow members to put their skills to the test.
“Personal finance is one of the most important subjects that students can learn in the classroom that will aid them for future success. It’s a priority of Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union to give students in our local community the opportunity to obtain financial literacy knowledge.
