Monthly WINcentive Saving winners announced, 10 members from Affinity win cash prizes
ST PAUL, MN (March 29, 2016) — Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that 10 members won cash prizes in the WINcentive Savings monthly statewide drawing in February and an additional four members won cash prizes from the credit union’s drawing. The total amount of cash prizes awarded was $1,400. One member won in both the statewide and credit union drawing.
“WINcentive Savings restores excitement and fun into the action of saving money,” said Affinity Plus President and CEO Dave Larson. “Our hope is that members who use this account are developing strong savings skills that will help improve their lives today and in the future.”
Minnesotans lack savings for short- and long-term goals, and it’s the credit union’s recent organizational strategy focus to help members maximize their savings potential and increase financial literacy. WINcentive Savings provides a unique and exciting way to build the balance in members’ accounts and be rewarded for savings.
WINCentive Savings™ accounts offer Minnesota residents the chance to win cash prizes from a state-wide drawing. Entries into the drawing are earned when account holders increase their month-over-month savings balance by $25. The maximum number of entries each month is four. Prize drawings occur monthly ($100), quarterly ($1,000) and annually ($5,000).
Members of Affinity Plus who have a Wincentive Savings account have an increased chance of winning cash prizes because the credit union has set aside an additional $25,000 to host its own monthly, quarterly, and annual drawings. On April 11, 2016 the first quarterly drawing will be held. Members have until March 31 to save and earn entries into the monthly and quarterly drawings in April.
Since the WINcentive program launched in January 2016, Affinity Plus has opened WINcentive Savings accounts for 1,007 of its members who have saved a total of $266,800.
