DENVER, CO (May 2, 2014) -- The Mountain West Credit Union Association (MWCUA) has elected its 2014-2015 board of directors officers. The officers were elected at the MWCUA’s Annual Meeting & Convention held late April in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“The Mountain West Credit Union Association is well positioned to provide strategic support and valuable services to our members,” said Scott Earl, President and CEO of the Association. “The dedication and leadership of our board is second-to-none and will help us as we strive to exceed our members’ expectations.”
Robert D. Ramirez, President and CEO of Vantage West Credit Union in Tucson, Arizona will serve another year as the board chair. Ramirez was chair for 2013-2014 as well. John Uchida, President of Space Age Federal Credit Union in Aurora, Colorado, will serve as vice-chair; Colleen Curtis, President and CEO of Southwest Healthcare Credit Union in Phoenix, Arizona, will serve as secretary; and Jim Yates, President of First Education Federal Credit Union in Cheyenne, Wyoming, will serve as treasurer. The Association board of directors provides leadership and direction for the Association.
“It is truly a privilege to serve on the board of the Association,” said Ramirez. “Our role is to help our member credit unions so that they can succeed in an ever-changing environment. As we embody teamwork as a board, we provide support that allows our member credit unions to thrive.”
Other members of the board include: Dan Desmond, TruWest Credit Union (Phoenix, Arizona); Doug Ferraro, Bellco Credit Union (Denver, Colorado); Susan Frank, Desert Schools Federal Credit Union (Phoenix, Arizona); Steve Higginson, Reliant Federal Credit Union (Casper, Wyoming); Dan Kester, Sooper Credit Union (Denver, Colorado); Walt Marx, College Credit Union (Greeley, Colorado); and Sundie Seefried, Partner Colorado Credit Union (Arvada, Colorado).
