MSUFCU shows appreciation for its members on International Credit Union Day

EAST LANSING, MI (October 15, 2019) — On Thursday, October 17, 2019, MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), along with more than 56,000 credit unions around the world, will celebrate International Credit Union Day (ICU Day) to recognize the achievements of the credit union movement. Members who stop by any MSUFCU branch during the week of October 14-18, 2019, will receive a free gift to celebrate ICU Week.

This year’s theme, “Local Service Global Reach,” emphasizes the industry’s philosophy of people helping people. On ICU Day, all MSUFCU branches will share member appreciation gifts.

“By helping our members achieve their financial goals and, ultimately, their dreams, we impact communities — near and far,” said April Clobes, MSUFCU’s President/CEO. “ICU Day is an important opportunity to raise awareness about the superior service credit unions provide locally that has a global impact.”

The World Council of Credit Unions Inc. (WOCCU) was created to help establish and maintain viable credit union movements. Today, more than 235 million people are served by credit unions in 109 countries and six continents. This year’s ICU Day theme emphasizes the credit union movement’s loyalty to its members and its mission to provide them financial support and guidance.
