NAFCU Launches 2014 annual awards competition

WASHINGTON, DC (January 31, 2014) -- The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) has opened its 2014 Annual Awards Competition, which recognizes association member credit unions for their excellence and achievement. Registrants have until March 14 to enter, and the winners will be acknowledged during NAFCU’s 47th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in Las Vegas.

“Our members deserve credit for all of their hard work, so we encourage them to enter this year’s competition,” said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. “The winners will be honored so others can learn how they achieved success at their credit union in 2013 while adhering to principles of sound financial management.”

This year’s competition will honor the Federal Credit Union of the Year, CEO of the Year, Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year in each of two asset-size categories: $250 million or less, and more than $250 million. Each award application must include information on 2013 accomplishments.

Any natural person credit union in NAFCU’s membership may participate, and all applications are online. The recipients will be selected by the NAFCU Awards Committee.
