National Association recognizes Carolina Foothills for saving members $3.4 million
SPARTANBURG, SC (March 1, 2016) — The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) recently awarded Carolina Foothills Federal Credit Union the Louise Herring Philosophy-In-Action Member Service Award at the Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C. This award is given to a credit union for its practical application of credit union philosophy within the actual operation of the credit union. It is awarded for internal programs and services that benefit membership.
In 2015, Carolina Foothills Federal Credit Union saved its membership over $3.4 Million by refinancing high rate loans to the credit union’s lower, more affordable rates.
Board Chairman Isaac Dickson said, “The credit union’s mission is to make ownership in the financial cooperative a long-term relationship built on loyalty, education, confidence and a sincere concern for the members’ well-being. Receiving this award validates our mission. We are very proud!”
Carolina Foothills President/CEO Scott Weaver said, “Carolina Foothills has always been sensitive to the needs of its members and the community. We are pleased to be recognized for our efforts. Going forward, we will continue to ‘Create relationships by treating everyone with dignity and respect’ which is the cornerstone of our existence!”
