National leadership network expands with CEO, CFO & Chair 40 Groups

Washington, DC (May 13, 2026) |

40 Groups, Inc., an invitation-only network for industry leaders, recently held its inaugural CFO 40 Group and Chair 40 Group retreat-style meetings in Denver, CO. The highly successful and deeply insightful week also included the fourth meeting of its exclusive CEO 40 Group.

Unlike traditional industry conferences, 40 Groups offers a small group, think-tank style setting to equip growth-minded executives with the insights and skills to better serve their teams, members, and communities.

A limited number of CEOs, CFOs and Board Chairs are peer-referred and participate in two-day retreat-style meetings designed to remove everyday distractions and enable candid strategic dialogue, peer benchmarking, and engagement with world-class thought leaders.

“Credit union leaders are navigating one of the fastest-changing environments in decades. Bringing together leading executives and board chairs ensures 40 Group members get the practical insights, strategic foresight, and candid conversations they can’t find anywhere else,” said Dennis Sullivan, Founder and CEO of 40 Groups, Inc. “These meetings are designed to challenge thinking, expand perspectives, and strengthen the kind of peer relationships that truly move organizations forward.”

The intimate, powerpoint-free gatherings in Denver kicked off with keynote sessions from Marcus Collins, Ph.D. and Best-Selling Author, and Yelena Shulyatyeva, a Senior US Economist for The Conference Board Economy, Strategy & Finance Center, to explore current economic challenges as well as the power of branding and culture in achieving long-term success. The bulk of each meeting is dedicated to peer-driven discussions on the most pressing topics identified by 40 Group members.

Each Group meets at a regular cadence over 12 months and is encouraged to continue conversations between in-person sessions, creating a trusted network of credit union CEOs, CFOs, and Board Chairs committed to innovation, performance, and shared success. Sponsors are strictly limited and include ECGNymbusOptimaFI and SRM.
