­­Naveo Credit Union announces Karen Yee as their Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer

SOMERVILLE, MA (February 12, 2024) — Naveo Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Karen Yee as their new Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer (CLO). Yee joins the Naveo executive team with extensive risk and compliance experience in financial services. Yee fills in for long-time Senior Lender and Senior Vice President of Lending, Albert Pinho who retires in March.

Yee joins Naveo after serving as Chief Credit Officer at 42 North Private Bank where she was responsible for overseeing commercial, SBA, consumer and residential loan originations as well as asset quality and quality controls. Prior to her most recent role, she has been in various roles within the lending and credit environment, including SVP, Director of Default Management, Corporate Credit, SVP, Consumer Lending Partnerships, and Business Controls Director, Business Banking. Yee’s background is well-rounded, with both experience as a business line owner, a risk partner and product development. Yee has a reputation for working effectively with stakeholders including regulators, executive team members and vendors.  She has also taught as an adjunct professor at Quincy College for over 10 years. In her new role as CLO, Yee will plan and organize the daily activities of the credit union’s lending and business development efforts.  Yee embraces community service by volunteering at the Quincy Animal Shelter as a dog walker and teaching financial literacy through the United Way.

Yee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Bustiness Administration from Northeastern University.  She has also earned a project management certification from Boston University.

Yee lives in Quincy with her husband and their 5-month old American Shorthair kitten, Yu Yu. In her spare time, Yee enjoys running, gardening and cooking.
