Navigant Credit Union adds Senior Manager to lead Lending Operations
SMITHFIELD, RI (February 10, 2017) — Navigant Credit Union has named Brian A. Azar the Credit Union’s new Senior Vice President / Chief Lending Officer
Azar joins Navigant Credit Union with more than 30 years of industry experience at various financial institutions. Throughout his career, he has provided exemplary executive leadership while managing loan portfolios as large as $1.5 billion. More recently, Azar served as Region President with Sovereign/Santander in Providence.
In his new role at Navigant Credit Union, Azar will be responsible for overseeing the Credit Union’s lending operations across its 15 Rhode Island branches. He will also serve on the Credit Union’s senior management team.

Azar graduated from Bryant University with a B.A. in Business Administration. He currently resides in Lincoln, RI , where he has served on numerous boards including the Northern RI Chamber of Commerce, The Visiting Nurse Services Foundation, The Central Falls Community Center, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Providence, and the Saint Basil’s Parish Council.
