Navigant Credit Union expands to Kent County, strengthening its growing statewide presence
Opening new branch locations in East Greenwich and Warwick; hiring 15+ new employees
SMITHFIELD, RI (September 29, 2017) — Navigant Credit Union today announced plans to expand its footprint statewide with the opening of its first branch locations in Kent County.
Navigant Credit Union will open two new branches, at 2100 Warwick Ave., in Warwick, and 2300 New London Turnpike, in East Greenwich, both of which are former bank locations. Navigant Credit Union will be hiring more than 15 new employees to operate the two new branch locations.
With these two new branches – along with the addition of Navigant Credit Union’s first Washington County location, in Wakefield – Navigant Credit Union will now have 18 branches statewide.
“We couldn’t be more excited to expand to both Washington County and Kent County, two areas where we’ve seen growing consumer demand for a Navigant Credit Union presence,” said President and CEO, Gary E. Navigant Credit Union expects to open all three new locations by the end of the year.

Earlier this month, Navigant Credit Union announced plans to expand to Washington County through the spinoff of Chartway Federal Credit Union’s Rhode Island assets – including its Wakefield branch – to Navigant Credit Union. That spinoff is subject to regulatory approval.
