NEFCU 2016 Blankets of Hope™ drive helps Vermonters keep warm

WILLISTON, VT (January 25, 2017) — During the month of December each year, to help Burlington-area community organizations, New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) collects new or good-quality used blankets. These are cleaned and packaged by Greers Professional Fabricare Service.  Since its inception, the NEFCU Blankets of Hope™ campaign has collected and distributed almost 3,000 blankets.

This year’s drive collected 150 blankets which were donated to:

  • Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS)
  • Spectrum
  • Howard Center
  • Martha’s Kitchen
  • Tim’s House

NEFCU Marketing Specialist Sarah Ricker, left, and COTS Community Outreach and Volunteer Specialist Sian Leach bring blankets for COTS residents.
