NEFCU announces first quarter community giving donations for 2019

WILLISTON, VT (April 19, 2019) — Four times each year, New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) selects four recipient organizations at random to receive $625 each, for a total of $10,000 annually. NEFCU’s community giving donations for the first quarter of 2019 were:

Project Hoeppner– The project’s mission is to increase awareness around the catastrophe that is teen suicide. NEFCU’s donation will help present the first annual HOPE for TomorROW, a fun and fund-raising row from Lake Champlain Maritime Museum to New York state on June 29, 2019.

Blue Star Mothers of Vermont – The organization supports service members and their families in Vermont.  The funds will support the group’s 3rd Annual Golf Tournament.

South Hero Library Foundation – The foundation’s mission is to provide financial support for the South Hero Public Library.  NEFCU’s donation will be used to continue the Pre-School Story Hour.

Milton PTA – The funds provided by NEFCU will go to present the 4th Annual Community Fun Run, scheduled for May 5, 2019. Funds raised by the Fun Run are used to support field trips for students and families.
