NEFCU debuts second “digitally driven” branch with Deer Park grand opening
Credit union opens fourth Suffolk County branch today; 14th overall
WESTBURY, NY (July 20, 2017) — Expanding its Long Island footprint with an increasing number of smaller-sized, digitally-driven branches, NEFCU opens its latest location in Deer Park, the local credit union’s fourth Suffolk County branch and its 14th overall.
Less than one year after opening its digitally enhanced branch in Bay Shore, replete with touch-screens, Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), as well as a team of knowledgeable member service representatives, NEFCU debuts its second branch representing the credit union’s strategy of tech-centric locations where members find an uncluttered environment providing quick, convenient, and secure banking while still receiving a superior level of personalized member service.
Located at 1934 Deer Park Avenue, the new 1,600-square-foot branch represents the smaller-footprint design that will mark future branch openings.
Similar to its Bay Shore brethren, the Deer Park branch will boast the latest technology, including a 24/7 ATM, two ITMs and a digital solution center. Members can conduct their transactions with live on-screen tellers who are centrally located in the credit union’s office on Long Island. NEFCU remains the only credit union on Long Island utilizing ITMs, or “live video tellers.”
The branch will also house member service representatives, a branch manager and an assistant branch manager to assist with account openings and inquiries.
The branch will also provide a digital solution center with an oversized touch-screen monitor to enable members to immediately download digital product brochures, obtain the latest rates, and access information about the credit union’s products and services at the touch of a finger.

The Deer Park branch hours will be M-Th: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m
