Baton Rouge, LA (November 5, 2025) |
Neighbors Federal Credit Union employees and volunteers will take part in a full day of service to celebrate Neighbors Day, an annual tradition dedicated to giving back to the Greater Baton Rouge community.
The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a Kick-Off Ceremony at the Lod Cook Alumni Center, located at 3838 W Lakeshore Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808, where Mayor-President Sid Edwards will issue an official Proclamation declaring November 11 as “Neighbors Day.”
Following the ceremony, Neighbors team members will spread out across the Baton Rouge area to assist with various community service projects. Efforts will include beautification projects, community cleanups, and hands-on support for local nonprofits serving families, veterans, and those in need. Some employees will also assist with preparations for the Veterans Appreciation Day Seafood Luncheon, hosted by American Legion Post 58, honoring local veterans for their service.
“Neighbors Day is a powerful reminder of our mission to serve our members and the communities we call home,” said Kimberly Chapman, Financial Wellness Director at Neighbors FCU. “It’s a privilege to see our teams step out of the office to make a visible impact across nine parishes.”
