Neighbors Federal Credit Union announces new President and CEO
BATON ROUGE, LA (September 11, 2015) — Neighbors Federal Credit Union has announced today that Steve E. Webb, Jr., CCUE, CLS has been named successor of the President and CEO position effective December 1, 2015. He has held the position of Chief Operations Officer since 2008. Since that time, he has overseen business, lending and mortgage services and managed all operational processes.
“Being led by Steve Webb, the executive leadership team has never been stronger,” says Kathi Gill, outgoing CEO, who announced her retirement in early September. “Our credit union will continue to be ‘Member Focused, Community Committed’ as we welcome endless opportunities for continued success.”
During his past 25 years, Webb has served in several different management capacities. Some highlights of his career with Neighbors include developing and launching the indirect lending program, member business lending and the lending call center. He has been an integral part of facilities management which includes oversight of the remodeling of the Sherwood, Perkins and Goodwood branches as well as the opening of Prairieville and Coursey Boulevard offices. Webb also completed a two year role in Filene’s i3 group which gave him insight into innovation implementation within the credit union.
Steve is a graduate of LSU with a BS in Finance. He was the first Neighbors employee to complete the CCUE (Certified Credit Union Executive) designation and has currently completed parts I and II of the CUES CEO Institute. Webb currently serves as Treasurer for the Mental Health Association for Greater Baton Rouge’s Board of Directors.
“It is an honor to be selected as the next President/CEO of such an outstanding organization as Neighbors Federal Credit Union,” says Webb. “I cannot fathom a more talented and amazing team of professionals other than the team already assembled at Neighbors and I look forward to the opportunities that await us.”

About Neighbors Federal Credit Union
Neighbors Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative operating as an association dedicated to "people helping people." A handful of educators started Baton Rouge Teachers in 1954 with a shoe box, a couple hundred dollars and the goal of making financial services available to school system employees in our area.
Now, Neighbors Federal Credit Union is the largest community-chartered credit union in the state of Louisiana with over 76,000 members and over $1 billion in assets. Since that time, Neighbors has undergone a variety of changes, but the mission has stayed the same: Enhance members' financial well-being and be a partner in the communities Neighbors serves.
