New Affinity Plus Foundation University Scholarship available to post-secondary students at six universities across Minnesota
ST. PAUL, MN (August 30, 2016) — The Affinity Plus Foundation is now accepting applications for its new $3,000 University Scholarship, which will be awarded to six post-secondary students for use in the 2016-2017 school year.
Part- or full-time students at the following state universities are eligible to apply:
- Bemidji State University
- Minnesota State University – Mankato
- Minnesota State University – Moorhead
- St. Cloud State University
- University of Minnesota – Twin Cities
- Winona State University
One student from each school will be selected. The scholarship will be used for tuition or books.
Amy Hanson, Affinity Plus Foundation executive director, said they created the new scholarship opportunity because of Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union’s strong and continuing commitment to students in these campus communities.
“Affinity Plus has branches on or near all of these campuses, and every year we serve many student members. We understand the challenges they face financing their educations,” Hanson said. “This new foundation scholarship is just another way to support students as they pursue their academic goals.”
The application period is open through Friday, Sept. 30. Applications are available at the Affinity Plus branch locations on or near each of the campuses listed. Students may stop in and request an application during branch hours or e-mail their local branch for an application.
All part- or full-time students in good academic standing at the listed universities are eligible for the scholarship. Applicants must be a primary member of Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union and may submit and complete their membership application with their scholarship application.
