New England Federal Credit Union adds rural district with help from CUCollaborate
NEFCU adds ten counties in Vermont, four in New Hampshire
WILLISTON, VT (September 3, 2020) — The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) recently approved the addition of ten counties to New England Federal Credit Union’s (NEFCU) field of membership. The expansion allows NEFCU to offer its services to anyone who lives, works, worships, studies, or regularly conducts business in the area. The rural district increases NEFCU’s field of membership by 650,000 potential members, an increase of approximately 15% current potential membership.
In Vermont, NEFCU’s expanded field of membership includes Addison, Bennington, Caledonia, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Orange, Rutland, Washington, Windham, and Windsor Counties. In New Hampshire, NEFCU’s new field of membership includes Grafton, Cheshire, Sullivan, and Merrimack Counties. To become a member, you need to maintain a $5 “Share” (checking or savings ) account.
