New financial counseling video released

See how FiCEP benefits CU members

The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) has released a new video to showcase its Financial Counselor Training program also known as also known as the Enhanced FiCEP Program and its benefits for credit union members. This video is comprised of numerous testimonials and provides an overview of the financial counselor certification program available for credit union organizations and staff.

The Enhanced FiCEP program (Credit Union Financial Counseling Certification Program) is a unique partnership between the National Credit Union Foundation’s REAL Solutions program, CUNA’s Center for Professional Development (CUNA CPD), credit union leagues and credit unions.  The program is designed to train staff who are then able to give professional financial counseling and education to help members better prepare for their future and to assist when they are faced with financial difficulties.

FiCEP training enables credit union staff to become more confident in helping members build a stronger financial future. The Enhanced FiCEP program concluded the past year with 275 new credit union staff in 9 states from 95 credit unions becoming Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors (CCUFC), and will continue to grow in 2016.
