New Horizons Credit Union presents American Cancer Society with check for making strides against breast cancer
MOBILE, AL (November 14, 2017) — Giving back to the community is important for New Horizons Credit Union with offices throughout south east Alabama and in Pensacola, Florida. New Horizons Credit Union’s employees presented a check for $1,344.00 representing fund raising efforts to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
New Horizons Credit Union staff raised funds through special jean days. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer was chosen based on the results of an annual internal survey whereby New Horizons Credit Union staff selects the Corporate Charities they want to support. For 2017, Making Strides was selected as one of the Corporate Charities. Because New Horizons Credit Union staff walked both the Mobile and Pensacola events, the funds raised were split evenly between the two American Cancer Society market offices.
For nearly 100 years, the American Cancer Society has been a comforting presence in nearly every community across the country, offering programs and support to help guide people facing breast cancer through every part their cancer experience. The money raised from the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events help provide free breast cancer programs and resources to women and their families.
