New name for Northwest Credit Union Association’s annual convention

SEATAC, WA (May 31, 2016) — Speed. Acceleration. Pushing limits. Testing boundaries. Providing maximum value to credit union members. Maximizing advocacy and cranking up credit union awareness. These are the ideas behind the new name for the Northwest Credit Union Association’s annual member convention.

Since 2013, the Association’s Annual Convention was known as Amplify. Starting in 2016, the Convention will be called MAXX. The convention logo, seen below, depicts a speedometer with the needle pegged to maximum speed.

“MAXX represents a natural evolution for our annual convention,” said Denise Gabel, Chief Operating Officer of the Northwest Credit Union Association. “Amplify was about using our collective voice to communicate the Credit Union Difference. MAXX is about action, progress, moving the credit union movement forward, and maximizing the impact of credit unions on the communities we serve.”

Gabel continued, “The NWCUA annual convention and trade show has long been one of the largest and must-attend events with credit union leaders and business partners. By elevating it to the MAXX, we send a message that Northwest credit unions never rest, that we constantly strive to maximize the real, tangible value that credit unions deliver every day, and that together we continue to strengthen credit unions and communities in the Northwest.”

The inaugural MAXX Convention & Trade Show is scheduled for October 11-13 in SeaTac, Washington. NWCUA members or interested exhibitors & sponsors can get more information and register for MAXX by visiting www.nwcua.org.
