New York Credit Union Association’s Long Island Chapter donates more than $40,000 to the Family & Children’s Association

OCEANSIDE, NY (June 13, 2023) — The New York Credit Union Association’s (NYCUA) Long Island Chapter donated more than $40,000 at its 31st  annual golf outing, held at Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club to benefit the Family & Children’s Association (FCA) on May 31.

“It is an honor to be one of the five representatives with the Long Island Chapter of the New York Credit Union Association and to raise money for the Family & Children’s Association,” said Tricia Daley of Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union and Long Island Chapter Secretary for NYCUA. “At Ocean Financial, we are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with other credit unions across Long Island to help those in need.”

For more than 135 years, FCA has been devoted to protecting and strengthening Long Island’s children, seniors, families and communities through an integrated network of community-based programs. Programs include addiction treatment, educational opportunities and life skills for youth, strategies for building family success, counseling services for adults and seniors, shelter and services for homeless youth and adults and youth with significant mental health challenges, and innovative approaches to strengthening communities.

The Long Island Chapter of the NYCUA includes representatives from credit unions across Long Island:

  • Chapter President, Jennifer Gunn of Teachers Federal Credit Union in Hauppauge, NY.
  • Chapter Treasurer, Eric Oterson of Jovia Federal Credit Union in Westbury, NY.
  • Chapter Secretary, Patricia Daley of Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union in Oceanside, NY.
  • Matthew Schettino of Suffolk Credit Union in Medford, NY.
  • Robert Suarez of Bethpage Federal Credit Union in Bethpage, NY
