The National Association of Latino Credit Unions and Professionals (NLCUP) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Amigo Awards, recognizing outstanding leadership, partnership and service within the credit union movement.
NLCUP will honor Chuck Fagan, president and CEO of Velera, with the Amigo for Life Award and BECU with the Institutional Amigo Award. Both honorees have demonstrated an enduring commitment to advancing NLCUP’s mission and strengthening opportunities for Latino professionals and the communities credit unions serve.
The Amigo Awards are presented each year during NLCUP’s Signature Networking Reception at the Governmental Affairs Conference. The reception brings together members, partners, and industry leaders to celebrate the progress we have made and the impact we continue to build together. The awards recognize individuals and institutions whose commitment and partnership have helped strengthen both the organization and the broader credit union movement.
The 2026 Amigo Award recipients will be honored on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 12 p.m. during the NLCUP Signature Networking Reception at GAC.
