The National Association of Latino Credit Unions and Professionals (NLCUP) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 NLCUP Conference Awards. These honors recognize leaders whose work strengthens the credit union movement through tangible service, advocacy and community support. Each award reflects a commitment to opening doors for others and expanding access to meaningful financial and leadership opportunities.
This year’s honorees represent a wide range of contributions across the credit union field. Their efforts include championing pathways for emerging professionals, advancing inclusive practices and amplifying voices that deepen understanding within the industry. NLCUP is proud to recognize:
- Miriam De Dios Woodward, Advocacy Champion Award
- Debbie McLeod, Credit Union Ally Award
- Mary Navarrete, Community Leader Award
- Raquel Gomez, Emerging Leader Award
- Jose Lara, Legacy Leader Award
- Carlos Calderon, Lifetime Leadership and Service Award
These leaders were selected for their impact within their organizations and their ongoing commitment to creating environments where diverse professionals can grow, contribute and be recognized. Their leadership reflects NLCUP’s belief that representation, access
and community-centered practices are essential to a strong and resilient credit union movement.
Awardees will be honored during the NLCUP Conference Award Ceremony on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 7 p.m. The NLCUP Conference, hosted February 1 to 4 at the Hilton Long Beach, brings together credit union professionals, partners and advocates from across the country for three days of learning, connection and community-focused collaboration.
